Bike Trials

What are Bike trials?
Bike trials are for the younger members of the club it is there chance to show they can Trial better on their pushbike, than Mum and Dad can in the Land Rover.

Competitions are held under the following classes
Assisted Riders - by Mum, Dad, Grandma or Grandad
Riders aged 8 years and under - unassisted
Riders aged 9 - 11 Years
Riders aged 12 - 15 Years of age
These can change depending on the number of partitipants.

How does the event work?
Each event will consist of a number of sections. Each section is made up from gates formed by two canes. The gates are numbered in a descending order from 12 to 1. The Rider must start from the 12 gate and then follow a defined path from gate to gate without stopping, touching any of the canes or putting their feet down. If the rider stops the rider gets penalty points which corresponds to the value of the next gate. If the rider touches a cane then the penalty value is the same as that gate number. The winner is the person who after riding all of the sections has the lowest amount of penalty points.

It is great seeing the youngesters have a go at there own trial. It is always a very popular event.
